Announcing the arrival of Mason Eli Holden. Mason was born March 7th at 6:23pm, 6 weeks early. Mason weighed 5lbs 5oz and was 18 and 1/2 inches long. He spent 4 days in the NICU but is home now doing great! Doctors told us to be prepared that he would spend several days in the NICU on a ventilator because his lungs were so immature. But, through our miraculous creator Jesus Christ, Mason was born crying and breathing on his own. He only went to the NICU for closer monitoring.

Oh..what a crazy December! Everything from kidney stones to all the rush of Christmas travel. On the morning of December 8th I woke up with what I thought was a bad UTI..and was assured by my doctor that was the case. But by 3pm the pain was so excruciating that I thoughtI could be in preterm labor for the 3rd time..so, I called my doctor back and explained to the nurse again that the pain was very severe and with the vomiting I thought it could be something more severe. But, I was reassured again that once the antibiotics got into my system that the pain would ease. In the back of my mind I kept thinking to myself "Ok Brandi, you are a RN, you know this is not just a UTI...but Dr. knows best". So, Monday night I went onto the ER where they sent me up to Labor & Delivery. They monitored me and the baby for about an hour..I wasn't contracting..so they sent me home...YES...they sent me home!! I kept telling them there is something wrong. I stayed up all night long vomiting and was in excruicating pain. So, Tuesday morning I called my doctor for the 3rd time and demanded to be seen. I told them that I thought that I could have a kidney stone. They sent me for a pelvic ultrasound which showed no function in my right kidney because it was blocked by a stone. So, I was immediately hospitalized and given a bolus of fluid while awaiting possible procedure to help pass the stone. But..guess what? By the grace of God the stone passed into the bladder without having to have any kind of procedure done.
Christmas was soooo much fun this year with a 18 month and 3 year old. We traveled to Alabama to visit with my family the weekend before Christmas. Then we woke up at home on Christmas morning for the 1st time ever. Then traveled back to Alabama on Christmas Day to visit with William's family. It was so exciting getting to watch Marlee and the expressions on her face when she woke up Christmas morning and saw her Kitchen that she had ask Santa for. I really think Sawyer is enjoying it as much as she. He got a basketball goal from Santa and absolutely loves it!!

Last Thursday Marlee, Sawyer and I headed to Nashville to pick out furniture and bedding for the new baby boy. Marlee and Sawyer are getting a....
Baby Brother. Marlee said that she wanted a baby sister because she already had a baby brother. But, I think she is really excited about having another baby brother. She was so funny today during the ultrasound. She now thinks that there is a baby in her tummy too. She is so precious! She is a great Big Sister to Sawyer and I am sure she will be great with her new little brother too! I'm still not sure what Sawyer is gonna think...
William and I are so excited about having another boy! I think he and Sawyer will grow up so close. I think it will be perfect for the 2 little boys to have a big sister to look up to. I am so thankful for a wonderful husband, healthy children and a wonderful pregnancy so far! Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Marlee's Princess & Pirate Party
My precious Marlee Pie will turn 3 on Saturday, November 15th. My my how time flies. This time 3 years ago I was lying in bed at MTMC on strict bedrest waiting for my little girl's lungs to develop so she could be delivered. For those of you who do not know, I went into labor with Marlee at 30 weeks..and delivered her at 34 weeks when my water broke. I was on bedrest in the hospital the entire time. My little girl was delivered healthy and breathing on her own..and came home from the hospital 2 days later. She weighed 6lbs 1oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. I guess all those double cheeseburgers and caramel sundays from McDonald's that William brought me every night really put some weight on her.
We had Marlee's Princess and Pirate Party on Saturday, November 8th. She absolutely loved it! She really wanted a Pirate party..so I talked her into making it a little more girly by doing a princess and pirate party. I absolutely love the picture of her in her Cinderella dress with her pirate bandana. It really shows her personality. She can be a girly girl and a tomboy too!!

My precious Marlee & Sawyer
Sawyer decided he was going to help Mommy clean the floors. I thought this was a really cute picture of my SawSaw. I also took this picture of Marlee while she was sitting at the kitchen table coloring. I love my precious kids so much and I am so thankful for the great little family (it's getting bigger though) that William and I have.

Christmas Pictures
Christmas 2007 was a wonderful time for my family. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family and 2 amazingly wonderful kids. Back in October I decided that I was going to make Christmas outfits for my children. I finally got them made a few days before Christmas. It was my first real sewing project..but overall they turned out well. Here are a few pics of the kids at Christmas.
